It’s not always cold here in Michigan. The summer of 2026 has proven to be just the opposite.
Temperatures in the month of July have been 99+ degrees. I do live close to Hell, Michigan (yes its’s a real place). However, it feels like actual Hell with this heat.
I learned this recipe from an old friend when I lived in Jacksonville, FL. Thanks Christy.
The following is something I make weekly in my house. It’s usually gone in a day.
This recipe is the easiest one I will probably ever post.
Here is your grocery list
Large bunch of green grapes. Plain seedless green grapes. We have tried this with the cotton candy grapes and it’s just not as good.
1 package (3 ounces) Lime Jello mix
1 package (3 ounces) Watermelon Jello Mix
Here’s how I make my watermelon lime grapes
Open both packets of Jello and mix together in a large bowl. DO NOT ADD ANY WATER
Pluck the grapes off of the stem.
*Here is an amazing way to get the grapes off extremely fast*. Get a large freezer bag and put the grapes inside. Let the stem stick out of the top of the bag and hold the stem and top of bag tightly. Shake bag vigorously. Most, if not all, of the grapes will fall right off.
Wash your grapes and put them in a strainer. Do not dry. Leave them wet.
Add about a cup of grapes at a time to the Jello powder mix. Shake the bowl a little and they will coat themselves.
I use a slotted spoon to scoop up the grapes and put them into another bowl.
Continue until all grapes are covered.
I try to get mine in the refidgerater. I say “try” because by time they are all coated the troops have already started to eat them.
You can also freeze.
Play around with different Jello flavors and fruits. We have found this combination to be the biggest hit here.
