The sweet smell of success. Does success equal happiness? Sometimes sure. To be successful or to succeed at something is just at that moment. Happiness is a state of mind, a state being. Happiness is a choice you make for your inner soul.
I think truly happy people are happy because they are happy with what they get not always getting what they want.
We all want to have money, and we think money will make us happy. We all want a strong stable relationship with someone, and we think that will make us happy. We think that all of these things that we want, what we all chase after, is what will bring us happiness. And usually if we get what we want it does bring happiness but it’s temporary. Once the thrill of the chase is over, and your bank account is full, Then what.
Once we succeed at getting the money and the relationship and the lifestyle that we thought would make us happy and when we reflect on how we’re feeling and we’re still not happy, then we feel like we failed. And I have never been happy when I failed something.
Success doesn’t lead to long time happiness. However, I believe If we appreciate what we get, that’ll make us feel happy long term which will definitely feel like a success.
I wake up every morning and just choose to be happy. My dad always says life is like a roller coaster full of ups and downs and you just gotta hang on. We all get down, we all feel sad and miserable sometimes. Remember, anytime there’s a down there’s going to be an up coming soon. Just hang on.
Don’t sweat the small stuff and for the love of sweet baby Jesus appreciate the little things in life.
I have a recommendation for all of you. There is a very special book. It’s not necessarily about success or happiness. However, it really opened my eyes that I/we can choose what we let bother us.
Make your choice. Be happy with what you get and you will feel successful.
